Comfortable Exam

We understand that the nature of an eye exam can be uncomfortable at times, so we’ve established the best environment and systems to make it as smooth and easy as possible.

"Dr. Bever Truly Cares About Her Patients"

"Dr. Bever has been performing our family’s eye examinations for over 5 years now and we could not be happier with the professionalism, service, and quality of the care we receive. The best part is not having to have your eyes dilated during the annual exam which has bothered me in the past. I can shop while having adjustments made to my glasses and they even replaced my lenses for free when a flaw in the transition lens was noted over 6 months later! Dr. Bever truly cares about her patients and that reflects in her work."

New: Optomap Technology

More Comfortable, Faster Exams

Get a fast, comfortable eye exam with Optomap Technology. Our state-of-the-art Optomap machine allows our doctor to get accurate results with less discomfort for you.

During an Optomap exam, nothing touches your eye. You simply look into the device one eye at a time and our team takes a retinal image of your eyes. Depending on your specific situation, dilation may or may not be necessary.

Each image capture takes less than one second and our team of doctors will see the images instantly to go over your eye health together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to some of the commonly asked questions at our Optometry practice. Don’t see your question answered? Reach out to us directly.

What happens during an eye exam?

During your comprehensive eye exam, we’ll determine if you require a prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses. We’ll also assess your eyes for common eye diseases, and check your eye’s overall health for any other issues.

Does my insurance plan cover eye exams?

Your vision insurance plan most likely covers one to two comprehensive eye exams per year. Are you unsure about your vision insurance’s policies? Contact us and we’ll work through it with you.

How often should you get an eye exam?

How often you need eye exams will vary on many different factors. Typically, you need to get them more often as you get older, so you should be seeing your eye doctor once a year when you’re about 40 years old. During your first eye exam with us, we’ll be able to establish your vision foundation and help you figure out when you should come see us again.

How long are eye exam prescriptions good for?

Eyeglass prescriptions typically expire after two years, but it depends on your specific situation. Most contact lense prescriptions expire after one year.
